The first factor affecting the battery life of electric vehicles is the battery. That is to say, the larger the battery capacity, the farther the electric vehicle will run, followed by power consumption, size and weight. The new standard for electric vehicles requires that the battery voltage is not more than 48V, the total weight is not more than 55 kg, the maximum width is not more than 450mm, and the wheelbase of the two wheels is not more than 1250mm. Electric vehicles mainly use two kinds of batteries, one is the traditional lead-acid battery, and the other is the emerging lithium battery. Traditional lead-acid batteries use lead as the main raw material. The biggest feature is that they are bulky. Due to the new regulations on the body weight, for many new standard models, adding a set of 48V20Ah lead-acid batteries will exceed the total weight. 55 kg. And the battery life is not ideal. Obviously, only the 48V12Ah four-group small battery of lead-acid batteries barely meets the weight requirements of the new regulations. The larger the lead-acid battery capacity, the larger the volume and the heavier the weight! The space and quality of the car itself will be greatly occupied by the battery, so it is even more unrealistic to install large-capacity lead-acid batteries such as 48V32Ah on the new national standard car. As a result, lithium batteries with lighter weight and greater energy density have become the favorites of manufacturers. The weight of a 48V20Ah lithium battery is only about one-fifth of the weight of a lead-acid battery, but the actual battery life can reach more than 80 kilometers.

Some people may ask, why not use a lithium battery with a larger capacity? For example, the lithium battery of 48V32Ah, 48V50Ah lithium battery, so that the cruising range of electric vehicles can reach more than 200 kilometers. With the current technology, lithium batteries are not very mature. The greater the battery energy density, the worse the stability. The chemical properties of lithium batteries are much more active than lead-acid batteries. Even giant companies like Tesla It is inevitable that the battery will explode and catch fire, not to mention these domestic electric vehicle battery manufacturers

The most important point is the cost issue. The price of lithium batteries is generally 2-3 times that of lead-acid batteries, which means that the same 48V20Ah lithium battery is about 1,000 yuan more expensive than lead-acid batteries. Assembling large-capacity lithium batteries will undoubtedly increase costs and reduce market competitiveness.

According to the current battery technology, the new national standard electric bicycle has a pure electric battery life of up to 200 kilometers, which should not be a problem. In addition, if more advanced solar energy technology is used and the light is good, it is also possible that the battery life of pure electricity can exceed 1,000 kilometers. But among the models mass-produced and put on the market, it is amazing to be able to run 100 kilometers!
